In this post, I’ve gathered 5 homemade treats your dog will love. These treats are all-natural and healthy. I found these recipes from Pinterest and all credits go to the recipe makers with their links listed below.

I have heard the horrors of rawhide bones and dried poultry treats imported from China. So I have started to pay more attention to what kind of treats I give to my dogs. I have made oven-dried liver bits for them before but I’m interested in trying more different recipes. I will be making these treats myself and will report back on how it went

1. Sweet Potato Chews For Dogs

These sweet potato dog chews made by Karrie from Happy Money Saver are affordable and all-natural. This recipe doesn’t require many steps but dehydrating them in the oven takes time. Put on a timer and take your dog for a long walk or visit a dog park. These treats will be done shortly after you’ve returned home.

2. Ground Beef Jerky Treats For Dogs

Beef jerky made from ground beef is probably going to be my dog’s favorite treat from this list. This recipe was made by Jean from What Great Grandma Ate. You can make this beef jerky with ground beef sold in your local grocery store or buy pet-grade ground beef. Just note that the pet-grade meat has a slightly different texture.

3. Frozen Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Treats For Dogs

I think these frozen dog treats are going to be awesome in the summer. Paw-shaped pumpkin and peanut butter treats only require 3 ingredients! (Don’t add the cinnamon suggested in the recipe!) I went and bought a paw print silicone mold just so I could make all kinds of different summer treats. These aesthetically pleasing treats were made by Ren from House Fur.

4. Oven-Baked Liver Treats For Dogs

I know raw liver smells horrible! But get over the ickiness and remember that the liver is full of vitamins A, B1, B12, potassium, magnesium, and iron. Liver treats for dogs are a real superfood! These treats take time to dehydrate but are certainly worth it. Thank you to Katie and Shell for this recipe at Pretty Fluffy.

5. Homemade Zucchini Chips For Dogs

Zucchini chips are so easy and affordable! This is another recipe that requires oven drying for a few hours but it takes only 3 ingredients. Zucchini chips for dogs are healthy and all-natural just like all these recipes listed above. Thank you to Kristina Johansen from Be Chewy for this one.
